Ratings and Review Statistics
Data and Charts for People Who Like Graphs
So, this is mostly for my amusement, but below is a distribution of all the ratings of all the books I've reviewed. As you can see, I try to rate books on a bell curve, with the height of the curve occurring around 3.5. According to my scale, 3.5 is the cut-off point between "recommended" and "average." The full scale is as follows:
1 Skip It / Avoid, As This Book May Actually Make You Dumber
2.5 Not Recommended
3 Average
3.5 Recommended
4 Loved It / Highly Recommended
The larger incidence of books rated toward the higher end of the scale is because I prefer to read non-shitty books. Weird, I know.

Rating Distribution (For All Reviews)
This pie graph represents a distribution of the genders of the authors of the book reviewed. I try to keep it fairly balanced, so this is sort of my way of tracking it.
