With the August 2019 book releases just around the corner, here’s my roundup of what’s new and notable!
I’m thinking that the new Ruth Ware mystery, The Turn of the Key will most likely be on my reading list for next month.
After that, maybe I might try reading Things You Save in a Fire by Katherine Center. It falls in the romance genre, which isn’t always my favorite, but it’s gotten fantastic reviews, so I might make an exception. I’ve definitely enjoyed my fair share of chick lit in the past, so I do like a little romance, it’s just that I tend to be picky about it.
The author of Keeping Lucy previously wrote Rust & Stardust, which tells the story of Sally Horner (the girl Lolita was based on). Rust & Stardust was supposed to be really good. Keeping Lucy is about a mother’s fight to keep her daughter who has Down Syndrome. Early reviews suggest it’s a solid read, thought I’m not sure if I’ll be reading it or not.
What do you think about these titles? Any that you plan on reading come August?

One of my cowokers is super into Karin Slaughter, so I’m definitely thinking of listening to one of her audiobooks these days. That Katherine Center book sounds really good–I’m definitely a romance junkie. I may have to add it to my TBR!
yeah reading something of Karin Slaughter’s is on my to-do list too — sometimes with authors that have written a lot of books though and don’t have one title that’s particularly popular, I have a hard time knowing where to start though :) hope you enjoy the Katherine Center novel!
They all look good! My aunt is obsessed with Louise Penny!
yeah Louise Penny seems to have a devoted following — happy reading!
